Neil Lennon has hit back at transfer speculation linking Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard with big money Celtic exits, speaking live on BBC Radio Scotland today (14.31).
As we discussed this morning, there have been reports of Burnley interest in Christie.
Meanwhile, Odsonne Edouard has been consistently talked about as a potential departure too.

Lennon is having none of it, telling BBC Radio Scotland (Sunday, 14:31): “We can’t affect that, that’s out of our control. There’s nothing in the stories again.
“The media create these stories and then ask me about them. I have no answer to them because there is just no foundation to them whatsoever.
“It’s the last week of the window, and again I’m disappointed that stories are coming out that are unfounded on the day of an important game.
“We had it last week with Ajer, and we’ve got it this week with Ryan and Odsonne.”
To hear that the speculation is nonsense and there are no firm signs of any exits should delight Bhoys supporters, as it does me.
Both players are so crucial to Celtic’s season and carry a goal threat that will be huge for our trophy push, even with others such as David Turnbull and Albian Ajeti gunning for a starting spot.

The attacking duo may not have been quite at their peak in the early stages of this campaign, but there must be faith they will come good after last term’s red hot contributions.
Perhaps that will happen when the transfer window shuts.
Lennon thinks the speculation can be a hindrance to his plans and the performances of players, especially when news breaks on a matchday.
I can’t wait for this extended window to close. It will hopefully help this Celtic team become laser-focused on the task at hand.
