Neil Lennon has provided an update to Celtic’s transfer plans – but it is one that fans will be wearily familiar with.
He claims, as reported by PLZSoccer’s Twitter account, that the club are working on bringing in 3 or 4 new signings before the end of the transfer window.
Neil Lennon refused to be drawn over the Tom Boyd’s comments, said it would be good to take an advantage over to Stockholm and claims the club are still working on bringing in 3/4 players.

However, that is a comment that will be familiar to the Hoops support. The Daily Record recently reported that the club wanted to make more permanent signings.
Only player to sign recently is prospect
So far though, the only player that has come in is young prospect Jonathan Afolabi. No disrespect to the player, but he is unlikely to make much of an impact on the first-team this season.
It is first-team players who can make a difference that the fans want to see. However, the Hoops boss has spoken about bringing players into the club on numerous occasions during the summer, and it has not always happened.
New additions would make big difference to squad
If Celtic can add the three or four players that the club are looking to sign, it would be a big difference to the club going forward.
However, it has taken the club so long to get players signed this summer, that it is perhaps unrealistic to expect so many players to join the squad in the next fortnight.
Still, it promises to be an intriguing end to the transfer window for the Celtic support.
