One of the most exciting players for Celtic fans to watch out for next season is Callum Osmand.
The 20-year-old’s debut campaign at Celtic was rather interesting.
It started with Brendan Rodgers not using him, being handed his debut by Martin O’Neill and scoring his first professional goal against Rangers at Hampden, before being out for several months with injury and then scoring that goal against Hearts on the final day of the campaign.
But now, reports are suggesting that Osmand is on West Ham United’s radar, with the 2026 summer transfer window officially opening on Monday.
Upon hearing that rumour, Peter Grant dismissed it straight out of the park and stated that Osmand won’t be going anywhere, as he told Go Radio.
“I think he will stay,” said Grant. “I think there is absolutely no doubt he will stay. I don’t think Celtic would allow it to happen at this time anyway.”
What would your plan be for Callum Osmand next season?

Peter Grant is confident that Callum Osmand will stay at Celtic
West Ham were relegated last season, so now they are planning for life in the Championship.
In that sense, it’s understandable why they would have someone like Osmand on their radar, despite his inexperience.
However, as Grant noted, Osmand possesses certain qualities in his game that give him the potential to scale even greater heights.
With Martin O’Neill returning for next season, he will need every bit of attacking quality he can find, because the recent campaign was abject for the most part.
Yes, there is expected to be a mass clearout at Celtic, but Osmand simply can’t be one of the players heading for the exit door because his career in Glasgow has just started.
Grant: “Do Celtic have an out-and-out goalscorer at this moment in time? No. Unless Callum Osmand comes through and goes, BANG! This is what my game is.
“He has the capabilities from what we have seen from him so far.”
Paul Cooney: “Any word from West Ham, one of your former clubs, about Callum Osmand? We keep seeing his name linked with them.
“Do you think he will stay?”
Grant: “I think he will stay. I think there is absolutely no doubt he will stay. I don’t think Celtic would allow it to happen at this time anyway.
“But that’s the way football is up here.”
