Celtic intend to move on Ismaila Soro, Albian Ajeti, Vasilis Barkas and Boli Bolingoli from the club this summer, as the Ange Postecoglou era shifts into a new phase.
That’s what The Athletic reports this week as they look ahead to the Bhoys’ summer transfer window.
However, it may not be so simple to shift three of them, it’s stated.
Journalist Kieran Devlin reckons the high salaries earned by Ajeti, Barkas and Bolingoli could make it difficult to get them off the wage bill.

Bolingoli has been bouncing about on various loans over the last couple of years. Ajeti and Barkas, meanwhile, have not managed to be moved on quite yet despite not featuring in Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
Soro has had the most appearances under the Australian, 19 in total, but even he looks surplus to requirements right now.
Bolingoli’s contract expires in 2023 while Soro, Ajeti and Barkas are all scheduled to be at the club for another two years until 2024.
Moving all of them on would be a significant amount of wage money to free up for Postecoglou to strengthen key areas of the squad.
As always at Celtic, the work done to get rid of players could be just as important over the next few months as bringing players in. The board isn’t going to allow the squad to become too bloated.
Hopefully new head of recruitment Mark Lawwell can get the job done.
In other news, Martin O’Neill makes brilliant Celtic prediction.
