Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli is being lined up for a permanent move to Turkish side Altay SK after his spell at Istanbul Basaksehir last season.
Bolingoli left the Bhoys in controversial circumstances last year after breaching pandemic protocols and forcing Celtic to postpone matches.
Although there was an element of scapegoating with regards to the incident, he was still daft with his secret trip to Spain and Celtic were quick to criticise him in official statements.
Istanbul Basaksehir have decided not to pull the trigger on a buy clause in his loan deal. So he’s currently due to return to Glasgow with two years left on his contract.
However, The Scottish Sun reports that ambitious Altay SK are ready to sanction a move for the player, backed by new president Ozgur Ekmekcioglu.
Encouragingly from our perspective, the interest is for a permanent deal. That means we could get some sort of fee for the former Rapid Vienna man.
Hard to see a way back for Boli Bolingoli at Celtic
Ange Postecoglou has been talking up every player getting a chance over the next few weeks. But it’s hard to see Bolingoli coming back from what has happened at the club.
The best thing for all parties would be for him to move on and for Celtic to invest in another left-back that can compete with Greg Taylor.

That’s my take on it anyway.
Even if he hadn’t messed up last term, I’m not sure he’d be the answer anyway. He’s a chaotic presence on that left flank who never really had the discipline to be the wing-back we need.
I’m hoping to see this move go through.
In other news, Celtic closing in on Vuskovic signing, could join this week.
