Celtic are reportedly waiting to see if English Premier League interest is followed up for defender Josip Juranovic in the January window.
The former Legia Warsaw man has been subject to interest from clubs across the globe in the last six months, particularly after his performances at the World Cup.
European giants, including Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, are among the teams who have watched the Croatian international closely.

Early in the January transfer window, the majority of the interest in Juranovic has been fronted from the Italian Serie A.
The likes of Monza and Torino have reportedly made contact with the Hoops hierarchy and are aiming to make an ambitious move for the defender.
Despite the concrete interest from clubs in Italy, according to the Daily Record, the Bhoys are holding out to see if offers arrive from the English Premier League.
Another report states that Manchester United are one of the particular clubs that Celtic are waiting to see if firm interest arrives in the coming weeks.
The report also states that the club are well aware that we may be in a stronger position come the summer due to bigger fees being paid out during that window.
With Juranovic contracted until the summer of 2026, waiting until the summer could be an avenue Celtic look to go down, if the correct offer doesn’t come to fruition.

Celtic may have to risk waiting until the summer to maximise Juranovic fee.
The January transfer window is a notoriously tough market to navigate, with teams midway through their competitive seasons.
Clubs from across the globe usually spent their big money in the summer as they prepare for a new season and fresh start.
This year Josip Juranovic is a wanted man, with plenty of club’s showcasing their interest in the defender, who only signed for the Hoops last summer.
However, 12 days into the January window and it appears we are yet to receive a sufficient transfer offer for the Croatian, who put in several impressive displays out in Qatar.
Offers from Monza and Torino have reportedly included options to buy at the end of the season, which may not suit the Bhoys hierarchy, who are more keen on selling the 27-year-old.

With Juranovic’s contract running for another three-and-a-half years, Celtic are in a good position going into negotiations.
It is interesting to read in the Daily Record report that the club are aware bigger money might be spent in the summer. So it might be an avenue we choose to go down by trying to sell JJ for more later in 2023.
Of course, there is a considerable risk that comes with that strategy, and his price tag may fall if he doesn’t get as many minutes in the Celtic team going forward.
More interest could still arrive later in the winter window as club’s become more desperate to add a new right-back option for the second half of the campaign.
At this moment in time, it appears the Hoops and Juranovic are holding out to see if any offers from English Premier League sides arrive.
With under three weeks of the window remaining, we will have to wait and see how this one develops.
In other news, Shunsuke Nakamura offered coaching role which could see him work alongside Celtic stars.
