Danish team Nordsjaelland are eyeing Celtic talent Karamoko Dembele as a replacement for one of their key players, it has been reported by The Scottish Sun.

Dembele has a year left on his contract at the Hoops and faces a crossroads in his Hoops career after struggling to win regular football in the first-team.

Although exposed to a little more action towards the end of John Kennedy’s interim reign, scoring his first professional goal, he may well feel it’s time to move on and prove himself elsewhere.

Nordsjaelland see him as a potential replacement for winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, who is rated at £12m and is being tracked by Liverpool, Manchester United and Ajax. [Daily Mail]

The Danish outfit considered making a bid for him in January and could return for him this summer after scouting him for a long time, David Friel reports in The Scottish Sun.

Karamoko Dembele can play his part in the Celtic rebuild

For me, Celtic need to convince the youngster that he can have a future in Glasgow. Dembele has his part to play in the Celtic rebuild and I really want to see if he can make it as a regular for the Bhoys.

Dembele’s lack of development can’t all be blamed on the club. The teenager needs to show the right attitude, desire and ability in training too. But there is definitely more of a relationship to have than what we’ve seen so far.

It’d be silly to say goodbye to him now after years of development. Give him a proper chance.

Hopefully, the new manager can have a good look at him in pre-season and make a decision either way. Having him kicking around Lennoxtown with no progress isn’t doing anyone any good.

In other news, Celtic candidate Ange Postecoglou served an apprenticeship under the legendary Ferenc Puskas.
