Celtic transfer target Lukas Nmecha is on the verge of a loan move to Anderlecht, The Daily Mail has reported on Saturday.
Journalist Stephen McGowan had previously stated in The Scottish Daily Mail that the Scottish champions were looking at a possible loan move for the Manchester City talent.
The prospect, capped by Germany at U21 level, has spent previous spells out on loan at Middlesbrough, Preston North End and Wolfsburg.
He now appears to be ready to make an important next step in his career, linking up with Man City legend Vincent Kompany in Belgium.
The report states that Nmecha is now finalising the loan switch.

Capable of playing through the middle as a central striker or on each flank, the 21-year-old could have been a versatile choice for Neil Lennon, providing depth across a number of positions and tactical systems.
However, following the capture of Albian Ajeti on a £5m deal, the Bhoys boss now has plenty of firepower in his front line to support Odsonne Edouard.
Links to players such as Ivan Toney also persist.
The Manchester City to Celtic loan route is one that has been well used over the years but perhaps Kompany’s project at Anderlecht is now a competitor when it comes to securing temporary moves for talents from the English side.
Although we have found some benefit from deals such as this, most notably via Jason Denayer and Patrick Roberts, there is an argument that Celtic have been slightly over-reliant on young loan signings to fatten up the squad.

One of the most recent, Daniel Arzani, didn’t really work out well for anyone.
Lennon and his recruitment team will be on the hunt for plenty more bargains over the next couple of months, I’m sure.
In other news, Celtic transfer target Aaron Hickey has been described as an ‘extraordinary talent’.
