Celtic are seemingly far from finished in the transfer market. The Scottish Sun is reporting that the club are interested in signing Rosenborg left-back Birger Meling.
The report goes on to claim that the player is on a list of candidates to replace Kieran Tierney, and that he recently turned down a move to the MLS.
Pundit claimed that Hoops were interested in player
A Norwegian football pundit recently claimed that Celtic were interested in signing the player. We shall find out in the next few weeks if the Hoops are genuinely interested, or it is just a rumour.
The player will be familiar with Celtic Park, as he played in Rosenborg’s 3-1 loss to the Hoops last year. The fact that the Hoops are still reportedly still interested in signing players can only be a good thing for the supporters.
Few signings made in recent weeks
It has been a bit of a slog for the Hoops when it comes to transfers in recent weeks. The club have struggled to add numbers to the squad after making a positive start to the transfer window.
However, with only three weeks left until the transfer window closes, the Hoops are looking to add to their squad.
That will come as a bit of a relief to the Hoops support. They will hope that more new arrivals come in to boost the squad. That will help with the quest for nine in a row. Meling could be a good start to that effort.
