Reported Celtic transfer target and Bodo/Glimt winger Ola Solbakken is set to face a spell on the sidelines through injury.
The 23-year old is a familiar face to many Celtic fans after playing a pivotal role in eliminating Ange Postecoglou’s side from the Europa Conference League back in February.
His performance looks to have impressed those at Parkhead, with a recent report in The Scottish Daily Mail suggesting that Solbakken was a potential summer transfer target for the club, should on-loan Benfica winger Jota not sign on a permanent.
Solbakken is reportedly being tracked by several sides across Europe and is available for just £1.6 million in the summer.
However, as reported by the Daily Record, those transfer plans may have taken a hit as the Norwegian winger prepares for surgery on an ankle injury.
The worrying issue for Bodo/Glimt and Solbakken is they are currently not sure how long his absence may be due to this injury, potentially impacting any summer transfer plans.

With the summer transfer window approaching, Postecoglou will be looking to add more strength and depth to his side, which could potentially be playing in the Champions League next season.
Signing Solbakken would be a brilliant start to the window, adding a quality addition without spending too much of the transfer budget.
But, this recent development could hinder where the Bodo/Glimt attacker will be playing next season.
Further updates are likely to be released closer to the transfer window as the race to sign Solbakken heats up.
