Some Celtic supporters are keen to see the club turn Mohamed Elyounoussi’s loan deal at the club into a permanent transfer move this summer.

Elyounoussi returned to the starting line-up in Neil Lennon’s team yesterday against Clyde. It was his first appearance since early December and a bright one.

He’s the kind of presence we’ve been looking for recently on the left-wing and it surely won’t be long before he adds to his seven-goal tally for the season already (Transfermarkt).

It was reported by The Independent back in November that it could cost as much as £10m to sign him up to the club, with The Telegraph reporting on Friday that Southampton are likely to sell him in the summer.

With his spell at Saints looking like it’s coming to an end, Celtic need to put themselves at the front of the queue when it comes to his signature if he kicks on in the second half of the season.

His major goal now will be keeping himself fit and in Lennon’s eleven, especially ahead of massive fixtures against Copenhagen in the Europa League over the next few weeks.

Elyounoussi found himself on the scoresheet at home to Cluj in the group stage of the competition, also registering a crucial assist against Lazio.

Some fans have definitely seen enough of the player already to get themselves excited about a permanent switch, taking to Twitter over the last 48 hours to share their thoughts…
