Some Celtic fans are in favour of the club’s latest transfer move after it was announced via the official club website that prospect Lee O’Connor will be joining Partick Thistle on loan for the rest of the season.
O’Connor has quickly become an important part of the club’s development and reserves, already captaining at that secondary level this season.
However, since joining from Manchester United last summer he’s failed to break into Neil Lennon’s first-team and this move to Thistle will be his first-ever opportunity to play regular senior football.
Hopes are high for the defender, who can play in multiple positions, after he made his full debut for the Republic of Ireland late last year.
That, coupled with his education at Old Trafford, has set him up to have a great career.
With Celtic well-stocked at right-back until the end of the season, it makes perfect sense for the player to hopefully develop a winning mentality at a team under pressure to perform and rescue themselves from potential relegation.
Manager Ian McCall is an experienced operator and will give the youngster plenty of insight on what it takes to compete in Scottish football.

These supporters are certainly in favour of the move, taking to social media today to share their thoughts on it all…
