Some Celtic fans are keen on the idea of signing Andraz Sporar in the January window after significant transfer speculation over the last week.
The Daily Mail originally reported last Friday that Celtic were keen on a move for player, however that was subsequently denied by Neil Lennon (The Scottish Sun).
Today though, the potential interest took an intriguing turn, when his club Slovan Bratislava posted an article on their official website claiming that an offer had been made by the Scottish champions.
Club official Ivan Kmotrík said: “It is true, that Celtic FC sent us an offer and showed a huge interest in Andraž Šporar. We are in touch not only with Celtic. There is an interest from another big clubs from France, Spain, Italy, Portugal or Belgium. There is already a huge interest and we expect, that even more clubs will address offers during transfer period.”
Having scored 20 goals this season in all competitions, including seven in Europe, he’s been an outstanding talent for his side, who were dumped out of the Europa League by Wolves and Braga.
As we wrote earlier today, he also appears to have the penalty box credentials to be a hit at Celtic Park.

That all could be why some Celtic supporters are pretty excited by the links, feeling he could be the kind of first-team signing that greatly enhances the depth of Neil Lennon’s squad.
These fans have taken to Twitter since the striker was linked with a move to Scotland to share their thoughts…
