Celtic seem to be considering making a move for Kilmarnock left-back Greg Taylor. The Daily Record reported that the Hoops have been quoted £3 million by the Rugby Park club for the player.
The price tag quoted is the most intriguing part of the move. Celtic have already spent fairly big on a left-back this season, purchasing Boli Bolingoli from Rapid Vienna.
It would be a bit of a surprise if the Hoops spent that amount of money on a full-back after already signing one this season.
One fan wants club to pay Kilmarnock’s asking price
Celtic fans on social media have had their say on the matter. One fan thinks that the club should pay the money that Kilmarnock.
Another feels that the asking price for the Scotland international is too much.
Here are some of the best reactions from social media to Celtic’s interest in Taylor, and the price tag Kilmarnock have reportedly put on the player:
They can keep him at that price.

I have to say, we ( Celtic ) as for top dollar for our players: So why should other Scottish clubs not ask for the money they think their players are worth? It’s up to them to take a deal or leave it .

£3M for Greg Taylor seems a bit steep but if the club are willing to pay it then go for it.
It's maybe not the signing a lot of people wanted but at 21 there's still potential for him to get even better.
I was actually impressed by him in a very testing match vs Belgium.

Taylor is a really good player who would go straight into our team right now, he has loads of potential too. Just pay the money Celtic and get him in. Will add better balance to the squad. Then go and get Gumny for the right side.

Celtic might well make a move for the player sooner rather than later. The Daily Record report on the move claims that the Hoops would like to get the player signed in time for next Sunday’s Glasgow derby against Rangers.
If that is the case, it shows how important Taylor is going to be for the Hoops. Therefore, the Hoops will be looking to get the transfer concluded as soon as possible.
