Celtic defender Jack Hendry will remain at the club until at least January after he failed to secure a move away on deadline day.
The Daily Record reported yesterday that Hendry was set to be part of the Hoops’ deal for left-back Greg Taylor, but that the centre-back ‘dithered’ on making a switch to Rugby Park.
That subsequently forced Celtic to thrash out a straight cash deal for the Scotland international.

The Scottish Sun have also reported that Bolton Wanderers were keen on signing the player, with no deal materialising.
Given he is not getting any game time under Neil Lennon at all right now, it’s a mystery why he would not want to go out and get regular matches under his belt.
At 24 years of age his career is stalling and he has plenty to prove to convince anyone he is capable of playing at a decent level.
Having players around Lennoxtown kicking their heels and not making match squads is not ideal for Lennon or his squad either.
We need everyone working hard and pulling in the same direction.
Some fans certainly don’t understand why he’s apparently chosen to remain at the club.
These supporters have taken to Twitter this week to share their thoughts…
Baffling why Jack Hendry doesn't want to go out on loan.

🏴 | Jack Hendry
A strange cryptic message on Instagram here from Jack Hendry.
Kilmarnock wanted him on loan and I'm positive Celtic would let him go but yet here he is still a Celtic player…
Happy to sit & collect a wage or is there more than meets the eye? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/5jIesAvtJB

What would possess Jack Hendry not to move to Killie even on loan ? He has no chance of playing for Celtic. Surely as a professional you would want to play as many games while you can ?

Agreed chance to regain his confidence.

Exactly my thoughts. It done Ajer no harm at all and made him a much better player.

Maybe the pitch but look at Ajer went to killie they done fantastic with him and he came back a much better player

Slightly disappointing to see that Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller didn’t fancy going on loan to Killie. Think regular game time would do them both the world of good even if their futures aren’t at Celtic. Would the pitch be enough to put some players off though?

Look how big Ajer developed with a loan spell at Killie
