Some Celtic fans are still looking for more from the transfer window despite the announcement of another signing this evening.

The club officially confirmed that midfielder Ismaila Soro has joined the club tonight after a lengthy process that included the announcement of a completed medical last week.

Soro was clearly delighted to get his move finally sorted out and spoke to official club channels about his excitement about taking to the pitch at Celtic Park.

As quoted by, he said: “I’ll give everything and more to continue the success this club has achieved. The reception here has given me the desire to go and work even harder for the fans, my team-mates and the manager.

“I want to settle into the team and give everything for the manager in training. I understand that breaking into the team will happen in stages and I’m prepared to be patient as I work towards this.

“I’m confident that I will settle quickly and impress the manager enough to earn the chance to play.”

After the capture of striker Patryk Klimala, Celtic have now made two signings in the January window.

However, there’s still time to make more and that appears to be the expectation of some supporters, with hundreds of varying replies made to the club account on Twitter.

Amongst all the welcome messages and hopes for Soro, there were some with a bit of anxiety about the club will do before the transfer deadline.

With more depth in central defence needed and arguably more support for players such as James Forrest also ideal, the recruitment team at Celtic Park have a bit of work to do to appease some fans.
