The Daily Record report that Celtic are not willing to pay Kilmarnock £3m for defender Greg Taylor this summer.
The paper reckon that the Hoops are eager to land the left-back for a £1m fee, with the promise of loan players heading in the other direction.
However, Killie are said to be standing firm in their valuation, well aware we have cash to burn and a need for a left-back in the final week of the Scottish transfer window.
Celtic sold Kieran Tierney to Arsenal earlier this month for £25m. Taylor is Tierney’s back-up with the Scotland national team, so Killie have a decent case to demand a fair fee for the player.
A regular stand-out at Scottish Premiership level, he helped the Ayrshire outfit to a third place finish in the top-flight last season.
The left-back also has a contract until 2021, so they are in no rush to sell him in a panic to a division rival.

It’s fair to say there is an eagerness from some supporters to see the £3m spent on the 21-year-old, who has significant potential.
With the transfer window expiring next Monday, we really need to start delivering on our targets. That’s especially true when they come recommended by our recruitment personnel, as The Record report.
