Transfer rumours involving Celtic are coming thick and fast right now.
If you take yourself away from the January merry-go-round then you end up missing links to players plying their trade in Scotland and further afield.
One name you might have missed being linked with a move to Neil Lennon’s squad this January is Yonatan Cohen.
The Scottish Sun reported late on Friday night, for Saturday’s print editions, that Israeli international has emerged as a ‘prime target’ this transfer window.
Our interest is so strong, it’s reported, that Head of Football Operations Nick Hammond sent a scout to watch the player in action last Monday when his two-goal haul helped Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Maccabi Haifa.
The winger, capable of playing on the left and right flanks as well as through the middle, is having an impressive season in Israel. To date he’s netted eight goals in 14 league matches, registering six assists (Transfermarkt).
He’s scored seven goals in his last seven top-flight games.
The Scottish Sun says he is rated as worth £2.5m, which puts the 23-year-old right in our transfer wheelhouse.
We’ve already been linked with numerous attackers over the last month, so some Celtic fans are keeping their distance to the reports, but these supporters have taken to Twitter this weekend to share their thoughts on the reported interest…
