Celtic could make a move for Leicester City attacker Fousseni Diabate before the end of the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.

The paper say that Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is willing to let the player leave on loan for the season. It’s said Neil Lennon has been alerted to his availability.

A versatile player who can play on both flanks as well as through the middle, his addition to the squad would give the manager greater squad depth and tactical flexibility.

Currently Mikey Johnston and James Forrest are our first-choice picks on the flank. However, experienced players like Scott Sinclair are struggling to get into the team, so Lennon may feel he needs stronger options as back-up.

Diabate spent last season out on loan at Turkish outfit Sivasspor, scoring two goals and assisting three in 17 Super Lig appearances.

He played 14 times for Leicester in the English Premier League back in 2017/18, but has failed to push on and become a regular.

Still just 23, he lacks a bit of experience, but on loan would be a relatively risk free signing.
