Some Celtic supporters are enjoying the idea of Jack Hendry leaving the club this January, two years after signing during Brendan Rodgers’ reign as boss.
The Scottish Sun have reported that Hearts are keen on signing the player this month, who has played just 11 minutes of football since Neil Lennon arrived as manager last February.
The paper say that Hearts aren’t the only team interested either, with several English Championship clubs also said to be keen on his services.
With John Kennedy telling Sky Sports that the player could leave to get his career back on track, it looks increasingly likely he won’t be part of the squad in the second half of the season.
Hendry doesn’t have the best of reputations amongst fans, who have not been impressed by his lack of defensive composure and were left frustrated by poor performances in Europe.
It seems clear at this point he doesn’t have a future at Celtic Park, so it’s best for all parties that he moves on and tries to find a new path forward.
January is a great opportunity for Lennon and his coaching staff to get rid of a few deadwood players from the Rodgers era, such as Eboue Kouassi, who continues to earn a wage at the club.

These fans are eager to see Hendry head off this month, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts this week…
