Some Manchester United fans aren’t happy that the English giants have let Lee O’Connor leave the club and sign for Celtic.

The Hoops announced the teenager’s arrival at Celtic Park late on Monday evening. He became Neil Lennon’s last signing of the summer transfer window.

Although he failed to make his senior debut at Old Trafford, he’s seen as a talented individual and was a regular for the club’s U23s and UEFA Youth League sides.

Also a Republic of Ireland youth international, he was called up by former boss Martin O’Neill to the senior side last year, although did not win a cap.

A versatile defender who can play across the defensive line, but has primarily played at centre-back and left-back, he is just the latest young signing we’ve made from England this summer.

We now have a number of talents working on the fringes of the first team and it will hopefully result in a few gems making the breakthrough into Lennon’s side.
