It has been reported by the Daily Mail that Bojan Krkic is set to be released by Stoke City. The report goes on to claim that teams in France, Spain and America are interested in signing the player.

Marca report that the French team interested are Bordeaux. Celtic should also be a team that is interested in the player.

The attacker made 23 appearances for the Championship side last season. Despite this, the club and player are set to part ways.

Krkic spent five years with Stoke, and it seems that both parties have decided that the time is right for a change. Krkic did reasonably well for Stoke, but so far he has found it hard to live up to the form he showed at Barcelona.

Perhaps a move to a club like Celtic would revitalise his career.

Could fit the bill for Celtic

Krkic can play on both wings and as a second striker, the Hoops lack a player who plays in the second striker role, Krkic could fit the bill.

Maybe his wages would be too much for the Hoops. But that shouldn’t stop Neil Lennon from at least talking to the player.

Lennon can offer the player the chance to play in the Champions League, and not many teams can offer that. Krkic would add that little bit different to the Celtic squad. He is a player that the Hoops should be looking to sign.
