Celtic are looking to follow up the signing of Luis Palma from Aris FC in Greece with a number of other transfers before the end of the summer window.
Like journalists at Sky Sports and in Greece, Scottish Daily Mail journalist Stephen McGowan reports that Palma’s arrival at the Bhoys is now imminent after a £3.5m fee was agreed with the Greek outfit.
Palma is expected to make the trip to Scotland this weekend to put the finishing touches to a four-year contract, receiving a significant wage rise in the process.
McGowan reckons that will spark a week of busy transfer action at the Scottish champions, with three positions now a priority for manager Brendan Rodgers and the recruitment staff.
It’s stated in The Scottish Daily Mail’s report on Palma that the left-back and central defensive positions are taking centre-stage for the club, but that a goalkeeper is also likely to arrive if Benjamin Siegrist ends up leaving.
Siegrist is thought to want regular first-team football elsewhere, with Joe Hart firmly installed as the number-one pick under our last two managers.

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph, meanwhile, has stated that the Bhoys would also be keen on strengthening Rodgers’ striking options should the opportunity arrive.
Across the different reports, it seems as many as four players could still make the switch to Paradise, even after the Palma deal is done.
That would make for a very exciting week for Celtic supporters and much-needed for the manager heading deeper into the season. Watch this space!
