Celtic’s Benjamin Nygren is reportedly the subject of interest from several clubs this summer.
In a stellar debut season, Nygren has just been handed Celtic’s Player of the Year award with 28 goal contributions so far.
At £1.5 million from Nordsjaelland, the Swede has been a bargain. He has established a starting spot in Graham Potter’s Sweden line-up, helping them qualify for the World Cup.
He hasn’t done so quietly, however, as leading journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported.

According to Romano, several clubs are ‘keen’ on the 24-year-old after his excellent first season in Glasgow.
No price tag has been named, but you would expect a significant increase on the fee paid to bring him to Scotland from Denmark.

Nygren dominated the Hoops’ end of season awards on Sunday, being named Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer.
His total of 20 goals is eight more than any other Celtic player. He is the first Celtic midfielder to hit that total since Matt O’Riley.
O’Riley left Celtic for a fee rising to £30 million at the age of 23. However, Nygren has been criticised for his overall midfield play at times this season.
At times, his role has been more reminiscent of a second striker than that of a traditional number eight. At international level, he plays in a narrow front three.
Despite Celtic’s lack of clarity over the permanent future of Martin O’Neill, the summer situation couldn’t be clearer: a major rebuild is in the offing.
Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels and Reo Hatate are among those likely to consider calling time on their Hoops spells at the end of the season.

Benjamin Nygren on ‘mixed’ situation at Celtic
Speaking to the Swedish media last week, Nygren said on his time in Glasgow: “It’s a bit mixed. Unfortunately, we lost a very important match [against Dundee United].
“Individually, I’ve done very well so I’m still coming here with a lot of confidence. A lot has happened. We’ve had a few coaching changes and there are a lot of demands at a big club like Celtic.
“We haven’t lived up to those demands. We went into the play-offs in the Champions League and we’re not leading the league. It’s been a bit mixed. There has been a lot to experience.
“The fans I’ve met have been very good and positive. The ones I’ve met on the streets of Glasgow. But then I also understand the anger from the fans, when it’s such a big club.
“They’re used to you winning so many titles every year. When you maybe don’t meet the demands that are there, I understand that anger.”
