It seems that Arsenal’s pursuit of Kieran Tierney is not yet over. The Scottish Sun is reporting that the Premier League side have reopened talks with Celtic about a £25 million bid for the Hoops left-back.
However, the report goes on to claim that Arsenal have not yet made a third bid for the player. More importantly, it also reveals that Arsenal have met the price Celtic want for Tierney – but won’t pay the money up-front.
With that in mind, it seems that not much has changed in the saga. Arsenal obviously seem keen to sign Tierney. However, the move will only be completed on terms that favour both teams.
Celtic in driving seat

Celtic are really in the driving seat for any deal though, as the player is under contract, and does not seem in any hurry to depart.
All at Celtic will want this transfer saga resolved sooner rather than later though. It doesn’t do either side any favour if the deal drags on for another fortnight.
Any deal must be completed soon

The English transfer window closes on Thursday the 8th of August. That is less than two weeks away. If Arsenal want to sign Tierney, they will need to get any move done before then.
For the moment though, despite the talks reportedly reopening, nothing seems to have changed regarding the player.
That could all change if and when Arsenal made a third bid, however.
