Celtic fans have been flocking to the Twitter post of transfer target Ivan Toney over the last 24 hours after sensing an increased chance of landing the red hot striker.
Brentford, the other team reported to be interested in the Peterborough United forward, missed out on promotion to the Premier League last night.
They lost to Fulham in the Championship Play-Off Final and it may have massively harmed their chances of landing Toney too.
The Glasgow Times have reported that Toney favours a move to Celtic over the Bees if they are going to be playing in the second-tier next term, potentially opening the door for the Bhoys to return with an improved transfer offer.
The Scottish champions are said to have already lodged a bid but it was short of Posh’s valuation in excess of £6m.
With former coach Gavin Strachan having a previous relationship with Toney, are we now in pole position to land the goal-getter?
He was an exciting force in League One and the FA Cup last term, netting 26 goals in 36 appearances across both competitions.
That’s the kind of firepower that could prove to be a massive boost to our ten-in-a-row ambitions, providing Odsonne Edouard with excellent support and perhaps even a new strike partner.

Fans are certainly interested in signing him if the price is right.
Last night and into today, some have even taken to Twitter to comment under his post on the game, which was in admiration of Fulham star Tim Ream’s passing.
Will he have his head turned by the added enthusiasm? At the very least, supporters have been enjoying themselves…
