Kyogo is thankfully on his way out of Stade Rennais.
The Ligue 1 club signed the Japanese striker for £10m in January, with Kyogo keen for a fresh challenge away from Parkhead.
But it’s been a disaster, as we all know. Kyogo failed to score a single goal in just six appearances and Rennes are set to offload him this summer.
Birmingham City are in talks to sign Kyogo, and the EFL Championship club’s fans are excited about the prospect of him joining.

L’Equipe say Kyogo transfer to Birmingham is close
Now, L’Equipe are reporting that negotiations have reached a ‘very advanced’ stage between Birmingham and Rennes.
The French outlet say the transfer fee along with bonuses could reach the £10m price Celtic received for Kyogo in the winter window.
The report states the move is getting closer to completion with Kyogo set for a quick return to the United Kingdom.
Given the final fee could reach £10m if add-ons are met, the deal could be Birmingham’s most expensive transfer of all time.
Currently, Jay Stansfield’s move from Fulham last summer is their record and that stands at £10m plus bonuses.
Will Celtic profit from Birmingham deal?
The Hoops are experts at ensuring they profit from any future sales of players who have exited Parkhead for big money.
There is said to be a 10 percent sell-on clause in Matt O’Riley’s Brighton & Hove Albion contract, while Celtic have already profited from Jeremie Frimpong’s switch to Liverpool.
So what about Kyogo? As far as 67 Hail Hail understands, there is no sell-on clause inserted into his contract with Rennes.
That’s understandable given Kyogo is 30 years old. But Celtic did not expect him to move away from France just six months after leaving Glasgow.
