There is something to cheer about for Celtic fans in the summer transfer market.

Yes, Celtic have added to their squad during the 2025 summer transfer market, but perhaps not to the extent that supporters and manager Brendan Rodgers have wanted.

But on Tuesday, Celtic signed Jahmai Simpson-Pusey on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City.

The 19-year-old arrives after making a breakthrough into Pep Guardiola’s first team last season, but also being named Premier League 2 Player of the Year for his outstanding performances for the English club.

Players who have played for Celtic and Manchester City

Simpson-Pusey won’t be the first player to have donned the colours of Manchester City, and to now represent the famous green and white colours.

Some of the previous stars either came directly from the Manchester-based club or, once upon a time, played for them, and there are some big names.
