The transfer window is well and truly open and Celtic have added just one player to the first team squad.
Celtic signed Julian Araujo on loan from Bournemouth as the Mexican international defender looks to get some much-needed playing time ahead of the summer World Cup.
However, the Bhoys badly need a striker and as we enter the tenth day of the January transfer window, only Kyogo Furuhashi has been linked to Celtic.

That seems to be the only solid Celtic transfer link all week until Rudi Galetti tweeted that the Bhoys are looking at Zambian international Miguel Chaiwa.
But who exactly is Chaiwa and why are Celtic looking to bring him to Paradise?

Miguel Chaiwa is a 21-year-old Zambian international who predominantly plays in defensive midfield for Hibs.
He has 16 caps and was on international duty at this season’s African Cup of Nations where he made two appearances after being eliminated at the group stage.
Chaiwa is also versatile and has been deployed in various positions throughout his career, including right-back, attacking midfield and the central midfield.
Contracted to Hibs until 2028, Chaiwa has made 16 appearances and scored two goals for David Gray’s side this season.
He has also played for Young Boys and FC Schaffhausen before he made his move to Easter Road last summer.
Miguel Chaiwa to Celtic – our view
At just 21, Chaiwa fits the age bracket that Celtic look to bring players in to develop and sell for a healthy profit.
Celtic’s midfield is probably the strongest area of the team packed with internationalists like Reo Hatate, Arne Engels, Paulo Bernardo, Benjamin Nygren and, of course, skipper Callum McGregor.

We would suggest no. So whilst he is clearly a talented player and possibly one for the future, Celtic must leave this and focus all their energy into finding a striker for Martin O’Neill.
Because if they don’t, they are failing the legendary manager and the supporters, and also giving Hearts and Rangers the edge in the title race.
