In need of a left-back to replace Marcelo Saracchi, the Scottish champions have turned to Ferry as a potential option close to home.
James Penrice is also an option for Celtic; the move hasn’t been ruled out by sources in Greece.

What is Will Ferry’s birthplace and height?
William Ferry was born on 7 December 2000 in Bury, England and is variously reported as standing from 173 cm to 176 cm (5’8″ to 5’9″).
Who has Will Ferry played for?
Ferry began his career in the academy at Bury, but joined Southampton at the age of 16. He spent five years on the books at St Mary’s.
He was sent on loan to Crawley Town at the age of 21, playing regularly as the Reds finished 12th in League Two.

This earned him a permanent move to Cheltenham Town, where he established himself as a key player across two years in League One.
He was picked up by Dundee United on a free transfer in 2024, with the Terrors winning a hard-fought race for his signature.
His total of 3146 minutes played in his first season at Tannadice ranked him amongst the most used players in the Scottish Premiership.
Ahead of his most recent season, he was named vice-captain by Jim Goodwin, donning the armband on multiple occasions.
He scored his first goal for the club in their 1-0 win against Celtic in March this year, going on to score three more goals before the end of the season.
He was rewarded for this form with his debut for the Republic of Ireland national team in May, despite being uncapped at youth level.

What kind of left-back is Will Ferry?
Ferry is being targeted as a replacement for Saracchi, who deputised for Kieran Tierney at left-back last season.
However, the Ireland international has spent most of his career as a left-wing-back in formations with three or five at the back.
Unlike others who prefer the wing-back role, however, Ferry is more than capable with his defensive duties. His defensive numbers are among the best in the league in his position last season.
Energy is a huge component of Ferry’s game, too – much like Saracchi, he is always available on the overlap, bursting to get forward.
Perhaps his most important attribute is his availability. His total of 6043 league minutes ranks him among the most used outfielders over the last two Scottish Premiership seasons.
