One of the most intriguing mysteries of Celtic’s 2019-20 season so far, is what has happened to deadline day arrival Greg Taylor.
The Hoops had pursued the player for weeks, and he finally joined from Kilmarnock just as the transfer window was closing.
Fans seemed to be pleased with the signing, as he would provide competition to Boli Bolingoli in the left-back slot. However, despite being at the club for over a month, he has yet to play a single second of first-team football for the Hoops.
Other positions have been rotated

Celtic fans will be wondering why this is the case. It has to be said that Bolingoli has played well so far. But that hasn’t stopped Neil Lennon from rotating his right-backs so far this season.
Interestingly, Taylor hasn’t even made the bench recently. You would have thought that he would have been involved when the Hoops recently took on Livingston.
Seemed certain to feature in recent game

The game was played on an artificial pitch which the Hoops have struggled on in recent games. Taylor, who played on one of those pitches every week at Kilmarnock, could have debuted in the game. He would have been used to playing on the surface.
However, he didn’t even make the bench for the game. That seemed odd, as he is used to playing on the surface, and could have influenced the outcome of the game.
Perhaps Taylor will finally get his chance for the Hoops in the first game after the international break. The Bhoys are at home to Ross County. That fixture seems like the ideal game for the player to get his first 90 minutes in.
It is has to be a tad irritating for the player that he has not yet made an appearance for the Hoops. Hopefully his time will come sooner rather than later, and he can kickstart his Celtic career.
