Rangers’ Captain Cringe James Tavernier has left Celtic supporters wondering what on earth they just watched last night.
The right-back published a video on his Twitter page that was totally bizarre in nature. The clip showed Rangers players standing about in random areas typing into a group chat labelled “Rangers Champion55”.
It seemed to serve no real purpose as random messages kept being sent by the Rangers first-team squad. Throw in a few jokes that were as funny as toothaches and that was your whack.
It’s difficult to actually put your finger on what the purpose of the video even was. It could be that it was just a bit of fun for their own supporters, who of course lapped it up as magical content.
For the rest of us? It was yet another sign that Rangers have no idea how to behave as champions.
Putting James Tavernier and Rangers in their place next season is going to be all the sweeter for Celtic
Nonsense like this just makes you lust for the day we take our Scottish football throne back. That day is coming, but the sooner we get to work and start preparing for it, the better.
At the very least, it will stop unbearable nonsense like this popping up on our Twitter feeds. No matter how long Celtic dominated Scottish football for, we weren’t up to producing weird content like this.

Perhaps the funniest part is the Rangers players pretending they can’t wait for a packed Ibrox to return. That’s the last thing that club needs – a group of players who have consistently crumbled under the pressure of their own supporters.
Hopefully, the return of football fans shows this Rangers side up for what they are. Celtic, meanwhile, have struggled to adapt to having no supporters and could do with seeing the exodus of fans end.
Below, we take a look at some of the reaction to Tavernier’s latest cringy post:
