As great as yesterday was, there were undoubtedly some moments that stood out more than others.

Take Tom Rogic heading off after making his last ever Hoops appearance. As emotional as it was for the player himself and the supporters, nothing was more hear-warming than seeing his teammates rally around him and show an outpouring of affection for the departing Australia international.

It hasn’t been spoken enough just how much support Rogic got from his teammates. Fair to say, it’s been captured brilliantly on social media as the Celtic players made their own touching gestures as he walked off:

In the clip above, you can see Joe Hart, Kyogo, Carl Starfelt, Greg Taylor, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, and Daizen Maeda all give him a warm embrace. Anthony Ralston and David Turnbull had already done so. Callum McGregor, meanwhile, was urging the crowd up off their feet.

Every single one of those players yesterday got involved in giving Rogic a warm send off. Even as he leaves the pitch you can see every single Hoops star applauding him for his contribution.

It was the most emotional of all of the moments at Celtic Park yesterday. And it highlights just how much of a family environment there is in that Parkhead dressing room.

Celtic players’ reaction to Tom Rogic moment a beautiful sight

You had to absolutely love this from the Celtic dressing room. This is a squad that’s only been together for a year. Yes, there has been relationships built up over that period of time, but it shows how deep some of them run.

It’s a key indicator of the family feel that Ange has always insisted exists in the Parkhead dressing room. It was there for supporters to see yesterday and that’s so important.

Of course, we would all have preferred if Rogic was able to stay for the foreseeable future. However, clearly this is a decision he hasn’t taken lightly and believes that it’s time to take a new path in the game.

This Celtic team will know just how big an impact he made on our season this year. Had it not been for Rogic’s influence, the chances are we wouldn’t be celebrating the league championship this season.

It was beautiful to see the way the squad supported Tom during what was a hugely emotional moment for him. A moment that he and the Celtic supporters will never forget.

It’s no real wonder that we achieved instant success this season with that kind of environment within the Lennoxtown walls.
