PDC World Cup winner John Henderson brought the trophy to Celtic Park yesterday as he lived the dream at half-time.

Henderson, who won the World Cup of Darts with teammate Peter Wright back in September, was in attendance for the 4-1 mauling of Hearts yesterday.

And below, you can watch a clip of him coming onto the field at the break to show off his well-deserved title:

Henderson’s victory last year was the first time he had ever won the competition. However, World Champion Wright had already bagged it previously with fellow Scot Gary Anderson in 2019.

Celtic, of course, took a bit step to the title of their own with the victory over the Jambos. Should Rangers fail to beat Dundee United today, the Hoops will have successfully secured the league championship from their rivals.

Otherwise, the league can be wrapped up with a point at Tannadice on Wednesday night.

John Henderson soaks it in as Celtic move closer

It was nice to see Henderson get his opportunity to celebrate his achievement at Celtic Park. His performance in the World Cup of Darts was fantastic viewing.

He got a fine reception off the Celtic support too, who were happy to acknowledge and appreciate the scale of the honour.

Henderson will again be a part of team Scotland this year alongside Wright for the competition, which takes place in Frankfurt this June.

In any case, he’ll have been delighted to get the opportunity of a lifetime in celebrating in front of a packed Parkhead.

The atmosphere inside Celtic Park was electric yesterday, with anticipation sweeping the support ahead of our inevitable title win.

All eyes now on whether it’s won today or potentially later this week.
