Video: The brilliant Joe Hart Tannadice moment that shows what Celtic title win meant
It’s gone under the radar given we’re in the midst of title-winning scenes, but there was a superb moment at Tannadice yesterday that showed what winning the league meant to Joe Hart.
There has been so many images and plenty of footage going around of the title celebrations both last night and this morning. We suspect it’ll be like this for some time yet.
However, what about that sensational Hart moment last night in which an outpouring of emotion came from him after watching Anthony Ralston make a last-ditch block? For those who may have missed it last night, take a look at just what last night truly meant to the Celtic goalkeeper:
That’s one of those raw, passionate reactions that you just can’t fake as a footballer. Hart was every Celtic fan after that superb piece of defending from Anthony.
Granted, United went on to equalise through a stunning Dylan Levitt strike in any case. But who knows what could’ve happened if Ralston wasn’t on hand to keep our lead intact at that particular point in the match?
It played a key role in our title win last night and Hart knew how big a moment it was as soon as the ball went out of play.
Tannadice title win a huge moment for the Celtic goalkeeper
We’ll all celebrate this title win collectively knowing just how big a victory it is for the football club. After all, we’re in a place we could only dream of being in just 12 short months ago.
But it’s also important to acknowledge how big this title win is for certain individual players. Hart is definitely one of those.
From sitting on the bench and being deemed not good enough at Spurs, to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League group stage and winning trophies at Celtic. Hart has made one of the best decisions of his career to come up to Parkhead and you just know he’ll be feeling that too.
He’s become an absolute hero amongst the Celtic support who are in total awe of his leadership and goalkeeping capabilities.
With Hart in goal you get 100% passion and commitment from him. That was shown last night, and the truth is there was nothing he could’ve done regarding that Levitt strike. Not that it’ll bother him too much given he’s already accumulated 25 clean sheets already this term.
But if anything showed you how emotional he was yesterday, it was the video above. Brilliant stuff and exactly what we want to see from our goalkeeper.
