Celtic and others have been completely vindicated after rivals embarrassed themselves

Celtic and many others in the Scottish Premiership have been left absolutely vindicated by their decision to move the Scottish football winter break forward.

Much was made about the decision to do so, particularly by Rangers supporters. The Ibrox club embarrassed themselves by voting against the moving of the winter break. Instead showing a desire to play tough away matches without any supporters in order for an easier atmosphere.

Incredibly, our rival fans have been trying to hammer home this laughable idea that the decision was made because Celtic fear Rangers. Because we couldn’t bring ourselves to face them with the injury problems we have.

However, last night’s report by the Daily Record has indicated that supporters will indeed be back in full capacity from January 17th. Likely in response to the news of Omicron not being as dangerous a variant as perhaps first imagined.

Celtic and the 10 other clubs who voted have always maintained the decision was made in order to give fans a chance to return to stadiums. Ange Postecoglou in particular said he didn’t enjoy the Hoops’ 3-1 win at St Johnstone on Boxing Day because of the limited numbers [Glasgow Times].

And now we’re all left laughing at Rangers for their immaturity. For their happiness to lock out not just Celtic and rival club supporters, but their own too and all so that they can get a mini-advantage for the upcoming games.

Rangers fans have absolutely no leg to stand on as Celtic get their way

Had there been no chance of. fans returning to stadiums, then Rangers fans may even have had something to their argument. However, the fact fans are back once more absolutely blows their argument up.

And what’s even more sickening is the fact that they wouldn’t even back us in this endeavour. Their hatred towards Celtic was so strong that they wouldn’t even agree with us even for the benefit of their own supporters.

It makes it even more galling that their fans are actually backing them too. Celtic, meanwhile, were one of the clubs who made a stance that benefits the Ibrox support. One that benefits every support. After all, our move has given their away support the opportunity to have some big days out.

But nevermind, they’ve been left with egg on their face for it. No doubt we can expect a nice thank you and some warm appreciating from the Rangers support for our stance. Aye right.

There’s probably a better chance of them twisting things once more and creating another fantasy theory to try and make it look as if they are in the right and we’re in the wrong.

Fortunately, the results don’t lie. Capacity crowds look like returning for January 17th. You’re welcome Rangers.
