Kyogo had a tough time of it for Celtic vs Young Boys this week.
The Japanese striker had the ball in the net three times against the Swiss in the Champions League clash only to hear the dreaded referee’s whistle after all three moments of celebration.
Celts would win the crunch tie 1-0 thanks to an own goal forced by Adam Idah, but Kyogo will have felt hard done by that his chances in front of goal were ruled out.
It was perhaps a sign for the attacker to time his runs better with his movement still one of the best skills in his arsenal.
Two of the three strikes were called for offside.
It was the second of his ‘treble’ that had initially stood before VAR intervened and urged whistler Rohit Saggi to take a look at the monitor over an infringement in the build-up.

Kyogo was denied a Celtic hattrick by VAR vs Young Boys
Callum McGregor robbed Cheikh Niasse in the midfield before teeing up his teammate who slotted home.
The man in the middle chalked it off after the VAR shout and commentator for the evening, Joe Hart, took two looks at the challenge before accepting it was a foul.
The ex-Celtic goalkeeper had initially felt there was nothing wrong with McGregor’s tackle and that the goal should have stood.
But upon closer inspection, the 37-year-old changed his tune in real time.
Joe Hart spotted the Celtic foul in real time
“No foul from Callum McGregor… oh hang on,” Hart found himself saying on TNT commentary duties.
“Yeah, that is a foul.
“It’s gonna be ruled out, but rightly so, that’s a foul.
“It didn’t seem like it at the time, it felt like Callum McGregor left him in a heap but that’s the beauty of VAR.
“It will be ruled out and rightly so.
“It’s spot on, even the referee with the emotion of the game and the turnover of the ball.
“It looked a fair tackle from Callum McGregor but it wasn’t.”
Hart had his take on Arne Engels’ missed penalty during his comms work while also admitting that Reo Hatate “can be frustrating” at times.
