Tom Rogic has published an image of himself in Celtic training amid ongoing transfer speculation.

Over the weekend, it had been reported that talks regarding a move for the Aussie to Qatar this summer had hit a roadblock. The Scottish Sun believed that Rogic chose not to fly out to the Middle East after having second thoughts on any move.

The newspaper reported that he could be holding out for a move to another European club. This comes after Neil Lennon previously admitted that a bid had been accepted for his services. As quoted by the Daily Record, Lennon said: “We have accepted a bid. He is not fit at the moment.”

However, Rogic broke his own silence with a picture published today on his Instagram page. Pictured alongside Leigh Griffiths, here’s a look at the post:

Interesting timing from Tom and a big injury boost for the club

For those who would’ve been worried about whether Rogic was potentially for the off, he doesn’t look to be too disgruntled in training.

In fact, the Aussie looks to be in great spirits along with Leigh Griffiths, both of whom haven’t featured for the club at all in competitive action this season.

So there’s a bigger picture here that would be foolish to miss. Having both men back on the grass and training ahead of what’s a vital phase of matches for the club is a boost. Any talk of departures should be shelved for now. This is a big positive.

Neil Lennon will likely provide a further update on both men when he takes up his press duties at the end of international duty. But for supporters, there’s just something morale-boosting about this image.

It’s certainly interesting timing from Rogic. It very much comes across as a post which suggests he’s delighted to be back training again.

Both he and Griffiths have huge tasks ahead of them to get back into the team. Yet if both are fit and firing, that will be a huge boost for Lennon and the strength in depth at his disposal going forward.

In other news, one of the club’s Lennoxtown youngsters is using a Rangers rival as an inspiration to make progress this season.
