The BBC will be broadcasting Celtic FC Women’s opening SWPL fixture of the season this Sunday, away to Aberdeen.
Fran Alonso’s side have already started the competitive action this season of course, taking part in League Cup and Champions League matches.
However, the SWPL is the glittering prize they want to win most of all this term and they have a really good shot at it.
Celtic finished a narrow three points behind Glasgow City last season, taking the title race to the final day.
Our city rivals have now lost their manager and a number of key players, opening up an opportunity to for Celtic to improve on the second-place finish.
That won’t be easy, especially since the Ghirls have lost big players themselves. Rangers will also be gunning for the top spot.

However, Sunday’s match against newly promoted Aberdeen is a great opportunity to start off strongly with three points.
BBC Alba will be broadcasting the fixture live from 4:10pm on Sunday. If last season’s action is anything to go by, you should want to get in early on the Celtic FC Women campaign.
I was thoroughly entertained by the title race last term and grew to really appreciate manager Alonso and a number of his first-team players.
I’ll be tuning in on Sunday without a doubt and can’t wait to see some of the new signings in action.
