Celtic have come under the spotlight for the lack of youth prospects making the transition into the first team.
The biggest name Celtic fans will recognise is Ben Doak. The highly rated young forward joined Liverpool back in 2022 after he rejected a contract to stay at Parkhead.
The Hoops have also lost some bright young talents like Rocco Vata, Daniel Kelly and Karamoko Dembele for peanuts as the Celtic Academy talents struggled to make the grade in the Hoops first team.
With young Daniel Cummings’ Celtic exit imminent, it seems that there is another young talent that has come to the fore after his impressive goalscoring feats for the Celtic B team in their latest Lowland League win at Broomhill.

Celtic Academy talent Lewis Dobbie comes to the fore after destroying Broomhill in emphatic B team win
Leiws Dobbie is probably one of Celtic’s lesser-known young talents, but it seems that he has thrust himself into the spotlight after his goal-scoring spree against Broomhill last night.
Young Dobbie was the star of the match after Celtic went in at the break 1-0 up, but quick-fire goals early in the second-half put the game beyond the Lowland League bottom club. Francis Turley scored the other.
Running out 5-1 winners, the young Celts now sit at the top of the Lowland League on 61 points but have played two games more than second-placed East Kilbride.
Lewis Dobbie’s history and stats at Celtic
Dobbie has been at Celtic since youth level and scored the winning goal in the 2023 Scottish Youth Cup final win over Rangers with a cheeky backheel.
Dobbie also featured in Celtic’s first-ever game in the Lowland League fixture against Bonnyrigg Rose.
With seven goals to his name this season, the young Celtic striker is progressing well and has also featured in the Celtic first-team that faced Sligo Rovers in a mid-season friendly in October 2024.
With 21 goals in 61 appearances for Celtic B, could Dobbie be one to watch for the future for the Parkhead support? It’s certainly a name that will be watched closely after his performance last night.
