The January transfer window is still a way off for Celtic, but speculation will soon start to arise surrounding movement in both directions at Parkhead.
Naturally, contract situations can be a key indicator of potential incomings and outgoings, seeing as a raft of players across Scotland will be free to speak to other clubs once the market opens for business.
Yesterday, Brendan Rodgers addressed Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor’s Celtic deals, claiming one of his priorities will be to try and tie the duo to extensions in the near future.

While the former still has plenty of time left to run on his present terms, Taylor is into the last year of his contract, so there is understandable concern about a scenario unfolding where he could walk out the door for a nominal fee or on a free transfer.
Now, claims have emerged that his situation isn’t the only one Celtic may need to find a swift solution to as the New Year approaches.
Celtic striker Daniel Cummings is attracting interest
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke on X, Celtic B striker Daniel Cummings is attracting the interest of several English clubs amid his excellent form under Stephen McManus this term.
He stated: “A number of English clubs are tracking Celtic hot-shot Daniel Cummings amid his contract situation at Celtic Park. Cummings, 18, is out of contract next summer and could leave the club for a minimal fee with cross border compensation only €310,000.”
During the week, Cummings netted twice as Celtic defeated RB Leipzig in the UEFA Youth League, taking his tally for the season to 18 goals in 17 appearances across all competitions.
With his potential future availability for a small compensation fee lingering, Celtic will want to secure his future if clubs are indeed monitoring the free-scoring forward.
Celtic won’t want to lose another young talent
Previously, 67 Hail Hail explored the potential for Cummings to become an internal third-striker solution for Celtic amid Rodgers’ desire to bulk out his options at centre-forward behind Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah.
Whether that could be a possibility or not remains to be seen, but with Cummings into the last year of his deal, you get the impression the Scotland Under-17 cap would want some form of guarantee surrounding a pathway into the senior set-up.
Of course, the transfer window being not too far in the distance creates speculation. Either way, time will tell regarding how his future pans out with the Bhoys.
