Rivals announce massive derby date for Celtic B; hostile atmosphere in Govan
Rangers have announced a B team derby against Celtic is set to take place at 12 pm on December 31st in the Scottish Lowland Football League.
Tommy McIntyre’s side have been making exciting progress this season with talents such as Rocco Vata and Owen Moffat catching the eye of supporters with some brilliant goals and performances.
Now one of their stiffest tests yet is to come on Hogmanay, with Rangers selling tickets for the encounter to their supporters.
Briefs are available to Rangers fans for just £10, with concessions entering for half that. It should ensure a healthy crowd at Ibrox but a hostile atmosphere for the Bhoys B team.
It’s unclear at this stage whether tickets will be made available to Celtic supporters given the fact we weren’t even allowed into the first-team derby earlier this season.
Rangers B have also been competing well in the Lowland League this term so it’s guaranteed to be a competitive encounter and a good marker of progress for McIntyre’s youths.
Taking place just two days before Ange Postecoglou goes head-to-head with Giovanni van Bronckhorst for the first time, the young team could show our senior stars just how it’s done on derby day.
Hopefully broadcast information will also be available soon. This is a match I definitely want to see.
