With Celtic announcing the signings of Hyunjun Yang and Hyeokkyu Kwon yesterday, the club are expected to follow that up at some point this week, today even, with the announcement of Legia Warsaw defender, Maik Nawrocki.
As Brendan Rodgers continues his strengthening of the Celtic first-team squad, there is another player that is on our radar that is currently being assessed by the club at Lennoxtown.
The Daily Record reports that the 20-year-old defender, Alex Bonetig impressed Celtic scouts when on a UK tour with the Australian youth team and has been on trial at the club for the last two weeks and training with the Celtic B team.

Bonetig is said to have already taken part in some trial games and is waiting to see if the club are going to offer him a new deal.
Who is Alex Bonetig?
Bonetig currently plays for the Australian A-League side, Western City Wanderers. Standing at 6ft 2″, the towering defender cuts an imposing figure in the heart of the defence.
In November 2012, Bonetig trained with the Everton academy after impressing at a football clinic in Sydney and got to meet Australian legend, Tim Cahill. [Illawara Mercury]
He made his professional first-team debut for the Wanderers when he came on as a substitute in the 1-1 away draw with Newcastle Jets. Having played 64 minutes, the youngster made two clearances, one interception and had a passing accuracy of 90.48%. [Keep Up]
After spending six years with the Australian club’s youth side, Bonetig was offered a two-year scholarship and is now at Celtic where he is hoping to do enough to earn a move to the Scottish Champions.
Clearly, if Bonetig did sign a contract at Celtic, you would imagine it would be with a view to placing him in the Celtic B side where Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus will be looking to strengthen for the season ahead.
