Watch: Rocco Vata's 25 second cracker for Celtic B; Ange must be keeping tabs

Rocco Vata continued his impressive form this season with a goal in 25 seconds for Celtic B against Edinburgh University AFC.

Celtic’s Lowland League adventures has been a mixed bag when it comes to results. However, you can’t deny one or two Bhoys are catching the eye of the support, and hopefully manager Ange Postecoglou.

Vata certainly falls into that category. Intrigue has been high with the youngster anyway considering his father is 1990s cult hero Rudi. However, his form has sustained that initial interest, with some exceptional performances and goals for club and country, as a Republic of Ireland youth. His latest goal today has been posted to Twitter by his mother and you can see it below or via this link.

What’s so pleasing about this effort is not just the glory of scoring so early in the game, but that you can actually see Ange Postecoglou’s style of play in action.

Celtic win the ball back with a high press causing chaos in the Edinburgh University defence before Vata shows his ambition and clinical nature to stick it in the back of the net.

There has been increased chatter over the last couple of months that Postecoglou’s style is having an influence on the B side and that certainly bodes well for the long-term future of these players, and the Celtic team.

As for Vata, well, his form is surely being noticed by coaches other than Tommy McIntyre and Darren O’Dea. I’d be very surprised if Vata wasn’t firmly on the radar of the senior Celtic coaching staff.

This season might come too soon for him when it comes to debuts, but as he progresses and as this Celtic team settles down, it seems inevitable that Vata will make a senior appearance at some point over the next 18 months or so.

There’s something about this Bhoy.

In other news, Promising Celtic loan Bhoy hits form today with 2 goals in 2 games.
