Celtic have uploaded footage of Owen Moffat’s wonder goal away to Dalbeattie Star in the Scottish Lowland Football League this afternoon.
As we discussed earlier, Moffat was on target for Celtic B as part of a fine 4-2 victory. But the description of the goal doesn’t do it justice and you simply have to see this beauty.
Thankfully Celtic have quickly turned around the footage and posted it on social media tonight – which you can see via this link or embedded below.
That is just so aesthetically satisfying and I’ll definitely be watching it again and again!
Moffat has been one of the players who has risen to prominence with the Celtic support this season as part of the B team project.
After catching the eye in pre-season, the 20-year-old has been working away with Tommy McIntyre and Darren O’Dea in the Lowland League group, performing pretty consistently as one of their best players.
He even earned himself a call up to the senior squad for matches in December when injuries ravaged Ange Postecoglou’s options, making three appearances.
The attacker is now well primed to make a renewed push for first-team action in the summer and will undoubtedly be part of the manager’s pre-season plans.
If he can score a few more goals for the B team between now and the end of the season then hype about his potential will only increase.
Fans will get a great chance to watch him in action later this month when the youngsters play the Rangers B team at Celtic Park in a big league derby.
In other news, “Has to start”; Chris Sutton picks his Celtic team for Sunday derby.
