67 Hail Hail’s writers are predicting another three points for Celtic this weekend as they take on Motherwell.

The Hoops play before Hearts and Rangers, meaning they can capitalise and put added pressure on the two in the fight for the Scottish Premiership title race.

Motherwell have been one of the standout teams in the league and won’t be easy to beat, especially with top scorer Tawanda Maswanhise in their ranks, but our four writers are confident that Martin O’Neill’s side can do it.

Arguably one of the toughest games of the season. Jens Berthel Askou is the manager most Celtic fans want this summer and there will be lots of interest in how he sets up and whether he can pick up a result.

For our sake, I hope that doesn’t happen and I believe it won’t. That Rangers win seemed to unveil a gritty side to the team that we haven’t seen for a while. From Julian Araujo swinging off crossbars to Viljami Sinisalo goading the two Gers players that missed penalties, that’s what fans love to see.

Momentum feels like it is on Celtic’s side and the supporters are getting more hopeful. That can be felt by the players and will get them over the line.

Callum’s prediction: Celtic 3-1 Motherwell

This will be a tight game but Celtic will be on a high after the win against Rangers.

Being at home, hopefully the crowd will be up for this and spur the team on. I’m hoping for a win but it will be tight.

Paddy’s prediction: Celtic 2-1 Motherwell

Amir Mir

This is going to be tricky, very tricky. It will be interesting to see how Celtic perform, given that they have had a midweek break. That hasn’t happened often this season.

But I am going to go for a narrow win. As per this season, Motherwell will play some good stuff, but at Parkhead, I can see them making a fair few mistakes, which could prove to be costly.

Amir’s prediction: Celtic 2-1 Motherwell

Martin Crawford

Motherwell have been exceptional in both of their meetings with us this season. Even in the win under Rodgers, some of their football blew me away. This isn’t one to miss.

Having this week off will have been invaluable for us after such a hectic schedule. I expect a sharp performance, as we won’t get away with anything less.

Martin’s prediction: Celtic 3-2 Motherwell
