Celtic’s next fixture against Roma can make or break the Hoops’ Europa League campaign.
Celtic are currently sitting in 21st place in UEFA’s second-tier competition after the Bhoys’ win over Feyenoord in Rotterdam gave the Parkhead club a major shot in the arm.
With matchday six on the horizon, Celtic’s Europa League campaign could kick-on with a positive result against Serie A giants Roma at Parkhead on Thursday night.
A defeat won’t end Wilfried Nancy’s chances of qualifying from the league, but avoiding a defeat will boost Celtic’s opportunity to get at least an unseeded play-off place.
How do you think Celtic will fare against Roma?
And as Nancy looks to get his first win as the new Celtic manager against Roma, the writers at 67 Hail Hail have forecasted tonight’s fixture to be a goal fest with some very optimistic Parkhead predictions.

Patrick Sinat
Celtic have never faced Roma at any level of European competition. The Serie A side are struggling domestically with two defeats in two but Roma did fire Celtic a warning after the Italians beat FC Midtjylland 2-1 in the last round of fixtures.
Having said that, with Celtic still adapting to Nancy’s style of play, I believe there will be goals for both clubs in the game and Nancy will avoid defeat.
Prediction: Celtic 2 v 2 Roma
Amir Mir
Let’s be positive. I think there will be plenty of end-to-end action, yes, Roma have faltered in recent weeks, but Gasperini is one of the best coaches in Europe.
They have goals in them. As long as Celtic are clinical, I am backing a win. Maeda, Trusty and Kenny to get the goals.
Prediction: Celtic 3 v 2 Roma
Callum Boyle
The fallout from the loss against Hearts was blown way out of proportion and we will see drastic improvement against Roma.
Wilfried Nancy has had time to work with the squad and help them familiarise themselves with his tactics. Roma have been hit and miss in Serie A, and I just have a feeling that it’s going to be one of those special European nights.
Prediction: Celtic 1 v 0 Roma
Martin Crawford
I can see this being quite an intense, chaotic game given the approach of the two teams.
We’ve had a few mad nights in the Europa League over the years, and I’d take a point right now, so I’ll go with a draw.
Daizen will be key against their high line.
Prediction: Celtic 3 v 3 Roma
