Celtic once again demonstrated their strength in depth as they cruised to a win against Aberdeen on Wednesday night.

The Bhoys hammered Aberdeen 5-1 at Pittodrie as Brendan Rodgers opted to make eight changes to the starting XI, with one eye on the Scottish Cup final against the same opponents.

Goals from Maik Nawrocki, Hyun-jun Yang, Luke McCowan, Johnny Kenny and then Idah capped off a great evening for Celtic’s fringe players in the penultimate game of the Scottish Premiership campaign.

Idah’s goal in second half stoppage time was his 20th of the season and by getting on the scoresheet, ended a 55-year wait to make an incredible record.

Celtic have three players with 20 plus goals for first time in over 50 years

Rodgers’ side have been lethal in front of goal this season and have 111 in the league this season, averaging three a game.

Those who have had a huge part in this alongside Idah are also Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn.

Whilst they all remain some way off the Celtic all-time leading scorers chart, the trio have hit 20 or more goals this season.

That’s not happened since the 69/70 season and the Bhoys are once again creating history.

Every Celtic goal scorer in the 24/25 season

Due to the sheer amount of goals scored by Celtic this season, it’s no surprise to see that there are lots of names.

Sadly, there’s no James Forrest as his wait to get off the mark goes on, but the goals have been shared amongst the squad.

Maeda cleaned up at the club awards night and that’s understandable given he’s hit the back of the net 33 times in all competitions.

Five players have one goal this season and an incredible seven are in double figures.
