Brendan Rodgers has addressed Nicolas Kuhn’s issue before Celtic faced Dundee United this evening.
The German pulled up before kick-off at Parkhead with what Celtic TV pundit Peter Grant suggested was a thigh issue.
Kuhn would be replaced by Hyun-jun Yang for the game as they comfortably dispatched of the Tangerines in a 2-0 victory in front of the home crowd.
But that left worries among the support who were left in the dark surrounding Kuhn’s fitness chances for coming games.
Now manager Rodgers has spoken on the injury his playmaker suffered before kick-off and provided a brief update on the winger, admitting it was Kuhn who let the medics know he could not risk playing.

Nicolas Kuhn pulled out in the warmup and was replaced by Yang
Speaking on BBC Sportsound, Rodgers was asked if it was a serious issue.
And he responded: “Hopefully not.
“He felt something at the top of his thigh and didn’t feel like he could risk it.
“We need to see what that looks like.”
It was a convincing win for Celts this evening and Daizen Maeda opened the scoring with his 14th in all competitions after Luke McCowan had tested Jack Walton between the United sticks.
Celtic fans mocked Brendan Rodgers with old songbooks
As the clock ticked down, subs Paulo Bernardo and Reo Hatate combined – alongside Maeda – to double Celtic’s lead with around seven minutes to go.
Celtic fans enjoyed their evening, certainly, and they did their best to troll the Hoops manager over his comments from the weekend where Rodgers complained about supporters “disrespecting” Greg Taylor.
Punters dusted off the former player songbook and chanted for numerous different ex-stars at the club.
The likes of Artur Boruc, Scott Sinclair, Henrik Larsson and Stuart Armstrong received the love from the fanbase who also would end the evening hitting out with their ode to KT.
