Celtic have signed seven players during the 2025 summer transfer window.
From the most popular signing of Kieran Tierney to the arrival of versatile attacker Benjamin Nygren from FC Nordsjælland.
Nygren has now featured in several pre-season games for Celtic, including earning himself around half an hour during his side’s 4-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.
The 23-year-old has played in his native Sweden, Belgium, and most recently Denmark in his career so far, and now he will be looking to make a name for himself in Scotland.
This is the biggest club Nygren has played for, and so far, he is getting the thumbs up from Brendan Rodgers.

Brendan Rodgers’ praise for Benjamin Nygren
Some of the key or first-team players are only starting to enter the picture because they were handed extra time off due to international commitments.
But speaking to Celtic TV, Rodgers likes what he sees from the younger players, as well as the new faces that have arrived this summer.
The Celtic manager namechecked Nygren, and excitedly claimed that he has settled in ‘really well’, which is good news for all.
“Very good,” responded Rodgers on how the new players are coping. “Initially, it’s about coming in and adapting to a massive club.
“Benji (Nygren) has settled in really well. Some of our younger players also, so yeah, it has been building for us, and we have a lot more to come. Some more to bring in also.
“But overall, with this group and where we are, at the moment, you can see them progressing really well.”
Celtic’s final steps of pre-season
It won’t be too long now until Celtic kick off their season against St Mirren on August 3, including some huge Champions League qualifiers coming up.
You sense, from a fitness and sharpness standpoint, that the team took a step up during the last two matches – Sporting Lisbon and Newcastle.
And now, it’s a trip to the picturesque scene of Lake Como, and the final set of big-hitting games of this gruelling pre-season campaign.
